Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Payflo Pty Ltd (ABN 55 677 217 177) ("Payflo", "we", "us", "our") provides point of sale software, payments and related services to hospitality and retail venues in Australia. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect: contact details (name, email, phone, business name and address); business details (venue type, number of venues, trading information); account and billing details; information about how you use our website and software (device, browser, pages viewed, log data); and records of your communications with us. We do not collect more personal information than we reasonably need to provide our services.

When a venue uses Payflo to take orders and payments, we may process information about the venue's customers and staff on that venue's behalf, such as order details, payment transaction data, tips and staff records. In that case the venue is generally responsible for how that information is used, and we process it to provide the service.

2. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form, book a demo, start a trial, contact us or use our products. We also collect some information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from third parties you connect to Payflo, such as accounting software, delivery platforms and payment providers.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to provide, support and improve our products and services; set up and manage your account; process payments and billing; respond to enquiries and requests; send service messages; send marketing where permitted; keep our systems secure and prevent fraud; and meet our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We may share personal information with service providers that help us run our business, such as payment processors and banks, cloud hosting and software providers, customer support and analytics tools, and professional advisers. If you connect third-party services such as Xero, Uber Eats or Deliverect, information is shared with them as needed for the integration to work. We do not sell personal information. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly if you block them.

6. Marketing

We may send you information about Payflo products, features and offers if you have asked for it or where the law allows. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our messages or by contacting us.

7. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, using technical and organisational safeguards. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us and we will investigate and respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
